Sky Hawks - the club

We have team spirit, play with passion and a lot of fun!

The Sky Hawks have been committed to disc sports for years. Our club was founded in 1982 and is therefore one of the oldest in Switzerland. In the beginning we devoted ourselves to all disc sports disciplines (Ultimate, Disc Golf, DDC, Freestyle, etc.). Over the years we have developed into a pure Ultimate club . Nevertheless, we also like to play a round of golf or DDC. Some of our members have already played in the national team or Champions League. Everyone in the team benefits from their experience.

Ultimate Disc - the sport

Sport with two teams, seven players each and a lot of fair play

What is Ultimate?

Ultimate is a sport played with two teams of seven players (plus substitutes) on a rectangular grass field (100x37m). Points are scored by catching the disc in the opponent's end zone . The team that reaches the set number of points first wins.

The Frisbee

The game is played with a 175g plastic disc that has a diameter of 28cm.

Spirit of the Game

In almost all sports there are referees who decide on rule violations and fouls. Not so in Ultimate - here the "spirit of the game" is one of the most important points. It is generally assumed that no player intentionally commits a foul or deception. If a rule violation occurs, it is resolved by those involved on the field and play continues immediately. If no agreement is reached, the move is repeated.
